On behalf of the government of the Republic of Korea and the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA), I would like to extend my warmest welcome to you for visiting our website.
Since the establishment of diplomatic ties in the 1980's, the partnership between Korea and Nigeria continues to foster and nurture strong political, economic, and cultural relations.
In 2008, KOICA opened her regional office in Abuja, and has been implementing various grant and technical cooperation projects in the field of Vocation, Health Education, Governance and Agriculture.
So far, we have trained about 1,975 government officials in Korea under the short-term, long-term, Msc scholarship program, and In-country training program. Korea’s assistance to Nigeria has mounted to more than 32 million USD and Nigeria ranks in the top three countries in Africa in terms of aid allocation.
I encourage you to take a look at our project page to see the various activities we are doing in Nigeria for the socio-economic development of its citizens.
KOICA will continue to play an important role for the achievement of the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s) in its partner countries such as Nigeria.
Thank You
Sook Hyun Park
Country Director/Regional Representative
